If you are ordering a new rear from one of us vendors, you will receive one in the stock length unless you specify one that is narrower. Bob

Ive already checked you guys out. And I have access to hundreds of 9" housings, gear sets and what not. Just wondering which length I should get to be equal with the factory length. Or maybe a little shorter

The easiest and possibly the cheapest way to go in the long run then may be to go with the Moser housing and axle package, shown here. http://shop.brutespeed.com/Moser-9-I...-and-Axles.htm The reason being that it is not easy to fab up a torque arm bracket. Bob

Been doing it for years on our circletrack cars... If the price on the housing alone was around $500 it would be a lot more appealing to a lot more people. The stock rearends suck, not many companys make a drop in rear so moser feels the need to gouge people for the most they can in my opinion. People have been running junkyard rearends for years, and fits budgets a lot better to cut the 10 bolt brackets off and weld to the 9 inch. But like I said. If i could get the housing for $500 it would be right in the ballpark of what EVERYONE feels they should cost. Demand>supply affordable>demand.

Years ago when I was into 4X4's and someone was selling new 9" rear axles for the small Ford Bronco's for about $300. Think it was Currie. Guys were putting them in lots of Jeeps and Jap pickups.

$700.00 shipped with the torque arm bracket, until I update my pricing as Moser got hit with a huge price increase from their US Steel supplier. Bob

I believe they are 64" flange to flange on a stock 10bolt. If you're skilled enough to set up the mounting locations onto a 9", you're probably skilled enough to break out a tape measuer and start checking, no?

Best thing to do if you are seriously going this route is grab a throw away 10bolt locally and use it for dimensions, and then when you're done with it you can hack off all the stock mounting points and weld them to your new rear. As for the TA mount, If you can weld and have basic fabrication skills, I think you can sort it out.

That being said, $700 shipped is hard to beat but adding axles on top of that becomes a heavy pill.

Is that axle flange to axle flange or housing end flange to housing end flange?

I'll check tonight if you need to know. What exactly are you wanting to know?
