Gear lube to make the thorsen diff less noisy?
We have found some spalling on the spider gears in the thorsen diff in the 10 bolt rear. I have 85/140 in there now, is there a gear lube that may be a better choice to quite the noise I here durring making turns and slowing down? I'm not ready to dump a but load of $ in this rear end, and don't have the $ to buy a 9" yet. Hows the lucas stuff, or any other ideas?

Limited slip diff require a special additive to the fluid to allow the clutches to slip while turning. You need to add that to your diff to cure your noise while turning

Yes, the Torsen is a worm gear type diff which does not need a friction modifier, although some dealers/TSBs suggested using it anyway to quell noise.
WHAT kind of noise does it make around turns and during power off coastdown, the classic 'rocks in a cardboard box' sound, or something else??
When I still had a stock Torsen T-2 in the car, the Lakewood BFL 80W-90 mineral gear oil (not sure who makes this for them??) was the quietest one I ever tried.

rocks in a cardboard box sound is a good way to call it!! Thats pretty much how it sounds. So still adding the additive may quite it down? Any brand better then the next?

Yes, you could try the friction modifier first.
I always use the potent (and the stinkiest fluid on this planet!! ), green colored, Motorcraft XL-3 stuff (especially now with my Eaton carbon fiber clutch pack posi-it's the ONLY one which works!).
If it is still loud, I would then try a premium, 'boutique' type gear oil like; Amsoil's Severe Gear 75W-140, or Red Line 75W-140.
I am currently using the expensive, very hig viscosity index, and hard to get, L.A.T. 75W-140.
I still get some gear whine with this, so next summer change I am going to give the even more exorbibtantly priced (and harder yet to come by) Millers Nanaotech 75W-140 a try.
