questions about 8.8 build So ive been doing a lot of reading on the 8.8 build and have decided to do it.
But I have a few questions.
First, how do you know the details on the 8.8? I want a 28 spline 4:10 gear.
The 28 spline should be fine for a while. I'm not making crazy power and it'll be a daily with the occasional track run. But mostly on the street
Next question. Friend of mine has a 10 bolt out of his v6 bird that I can get for cheap
Are the v6 axels that same?
Next how would I keep my abs? As I said it'll be a daily and would like to keep it
My car does not have tcs.
Does anyone that's done this have any tips or tricks?
I'm not new to the fbody platform at the slightest
But the extent of my knowlage on rear ends are that I know that a good set of tires and a clutch dump on a 10 bolt isn't a good idea.
So please dumb it down as much as you can

Cam is a champ about this stuff and hes currently building mine , The only 28 spline 8.8 carriers are out of the old fox bodys... i have one if your looking for one 28 spline. pretty sure the axles are the same out of a bird as long as its 98' car and above and since you dont have traction control, they have to be the ones without traction control.
the abs part im not too sure about, something u have to look up, but the way the mine was set up seems like i wont be able to keep abs. (reluctor wheel inside the actual diff)

yeah the plan is to use the 28 spline so i can reuse my axels and save a little money. as i said im not making crazy power and probably wont for a while.
as for abs, its not a must have. i can delete it if need be.
iim pretty sure the explorers were 28 splines as well, but not for certain. anyone wanna chime in on that??
