Default 10 bolt rebuild parts list?

Hi guys, I am going to build up my 10 bolt. Don't bother telling me what a waste of money it is. Here are the parts I am looking at. Just want to make sure I have everything I need here.

Motive 3.90 gears

Moser axles (28 spline? I don't know what a spline is or what the correct size would be so if someone could point me in the right direction for that I'd appreciate it).

TA girdle cover

Bearing kit

Am I missing anything?

Since you're rebuilding the 2001 stock rearend,28 spline axles is what's needed for the carrier you have.
splines are the grooves on the axles that engage in the carrier.

Thank you^. Are the Moser axles worth the money? How often do people break the stock axles? Im not sure how much of a weak link the axles are. Are the Moser axles significantly stronger than stock to justify buying them? If I can skip them, or skip them for the time being at least and upgrade them sometime in the future that would help me out.

Is there a brace or anything else I can get to beef up the rear a bit?

All I want is to be able to reliably launch the car at 4000-4500 with no issues and pull the most respectable 60ft times I can without breaking anything.

Launch a M6 at 4000-4500 to get a good 60ft,evidently you're thinking about using sticky tires,without breaking the stock 10 bolt,LOL,bring a trailer with a good winch !!!
A 2001 would have had a Torsen posi(do a search in this forum 'gears and axles' for 'catasrophic'). Axles do break, but not as often as the Torsen posi or the gearset. Moser axles break too !

Theres people out there cutting 1.6-1.7 60fts with the M6 on stock untouched 10 bolts holding up to many passes of abuse (some even getting into the 1.5s still with the m6 and plenty doing that and faster with the autos). I don't understand why a properly built one with fresh bearings, upgraded axles, gears (and maybe a stronger posi) couldn't reliably handle the same thing.

The stock rear has been fine launching at 3k on drag radials too, but car would bog bad and ruin my 60ft and ET.

Don't forget the shim kit at least too.

Here's what I was able to gather for strength. Best 60' on stock 7.5" .

With your power, a 1.8 60' time on radials or slicks is not rewarding. I don't blame you though, I've tossed this idea in my head around for a while and can't seem to pull the trigger. But if I find a used axle with 3.73 or 4.10 on Craigslist locally for $100 or so, I'll jump on that.

Good luck.

Thanks for your feedback. Is there a particular shim kit I should get?

No brand I can think of specifically. As long as they are steel I guess. Who's doing the work? If you're taking it to shop to do it, they can provide shims too.
