I don't know for sure, but I highly doubt it.

There is a 4.56 thick gear available, you could also use a spacer, but I wouldn't reccomend it. Search the internet for a "7.5 4.56 thick" and you will get some results. Richmond makes them, maybe precision, us gear, motive.

Yes, those will work. If you are switching from a 3.08 and lower to a 4.56. If you already have a 3.23 and higher, you wont need a thick gear.

well i just called summit and they carry them 4.56 for 2 series carrier i wouldn't say bye bye to the 10 bolt...it has taken a lot of abuse so far with my current gear...you can always use a little bit more gear

A 4.56 multiplies about 67% more torque than a 2.73, so that is 67% more stress on the axles and case with good traction.

I stand corrected on the gears for 2 series.

I do however agree with the bye bye rear end comments, even 4.10's tend to spell disaster for the 10 bolt, one can only imagine how much worse 4.56's will be.

yeah but it is an automatic, not as much stress on the rear compared to an m6

True, but you can still only go so far before it lets loose.

well, i am either going to stick with 4.10's and a 26in tire, or step up to a 28in tire with the 4.56...i am prolly going to stick with the 4.10 and the 26, seeing i don't want to blow the rear end.

That's what you have to decide. A 28" slick and 4.56 in an A4 is rough, but it can be done. Personally, I'm doing it to efficiently use my cam's powerband, and also to get a nice Strange rear end. It'll breakeventually, but you'll be surprised at how long you can let it live.
