Default New 9": TA hitting body(driv. side rear seat bolt) HELP!!!

I just installed my new 9", mounted the TA mount in the same bolt holes as stock (there are 2) and when to put the TA in and it hits that bolt on the side of the tunnel. Anyone run into this problem? Good half inch to clear.
I tried mounting the TA bracket in the other set of holes and it wont line up.

Thanks

Ill have to call Bob monday.

I didn't use the hammer. One good session of wheel hop took care of it, kind of "self relieving"...

yes when swapping rear on my 35th.I believe that bolt is for the seatbelt mounting on the floor behind driver side .you could remove the bolt by using I believe they are torx wrenches.your problem is the rear is too much to the left side.need a adj.phb to correct the problem.happen to me while installing mine.all fix now.good luck.

You mentioned an adjustable pan. bar...is it in any way bad to leave the stock..being the angle now is clearly different then the stock rearend? If its fine to be at that angle ill just bang that bolt outta the way.

Is drilling different holes or elongating the holes in the TA bracket a good idea to movethe braket towards passenger or not?
I would rather not.

I wouldn't. With as much twisting motion as the torque arm gets, you need the wall support of the holes vs. slots.

The rears in these cars sit offset from the factory to one side. They also sit back in the wheelwell about .5 inch. The larger 9 inch rear does sometime require a little clearancing with a pry bar in the tunnel area, it doesn't take much. Bob
