It is going to depend on how much horsepower you are making. Bob

4:10 is plenty. If you are doing any cruising, probably would want a 3:73.

I have a similar set up that you listed. I have 3.90's with a 26" tall tire. 3000 rpms at 55 mph is not a lot of fun on the highway.

3.73 gears are tolerable on the street/highway. Not really a cross country combination though.

It all depends on what size tire your going to be running. I'm running a 26" tire with 3:55 gears and it's streetable, still not good for long highway runs. It's all about what you want to do with the car. Is it a DD or just a weekend car? Street or track?

I have 3.90's with my TH350. It works out well with 28's on spray, and 26's on motor.

There are calculators out there. You really need to know your power, and the RPM that you want to go through the traps at. My guess is that 4.30's would be your optimal gear
