Thumbs up New Moser 9"

Just received my new Moser 9" from EPP. Thanks Bob.

The piece is very well made and is much more solid then the stock 10 bolts. Here are the spec I decided to go with.

- Truetrac Posi with 4.11 gear.
- Alum. Moser center case.
- Fill and drain plugs
- 31 splines
- No abs or TCS
- Welded LCA and sway bar brackets.

The unit come unpainted so I will need to get it painted and prepped before installation. I'll keep on updating this thread with progress procedures and pics as it goes.

Some actually seen it before but this is what prompted the Moser 9" change:

And here is how the new unit looks like when it is freshly unpacked:

If you wanna play you gotta pay right.

Cost me over $350 in taxes and brokerage fee's. Sucks but so be it. I usually use USPS since it's a much better carrier across the border. USPS usually just charge taxes, no brokerage fee's.

I've read that fill plug rubs on the gas tank. Why's it so big?

That is the optional fill plug, and we haven't had a problem with them hitting on the standard Moser 9 inch. Moser initially had a problem with the fabricated M9's fill plug hitting on stock oem gas tanks, and they immediately revised it just as soon as they were aware of the situation. Bob

Back to the fill plug, we've never had a problem with it hitting the gas tank on the standard Moser nine inch. I have seen a lot of these cars with the rear axle located .5" too far back in the wheelwell. Adjustable lower control arms will allow the rear to be centered, and that may be the problem here. Bob

Thanks everyone.

I haven't had a chance to work on it yet but next Monday I'll get the brake brackets welded on and then the painting starts. I should be able to get it on the following weekend.

Good purchase man. You definately won't regret it. I like knowing I can leave at 5500-6000 with way less of a chance of tearing up something. I went with the spooled setup though. Absolutely love it.
