Thumbs up So, I bought one of them thar Camero's

I figured the misspelling would get your attention, as usual

Over on www.PlanetLSX.com we have a new project car. 2010 Camaro SS with the stick. We'll be doing baselines on it, bolt-ons, and then a Magnacharger. Results good OR bad will be disclosed in our upcoming series of articles on the project. Anyways, here is the introduction:

You planning a TVS 2300, 1/78 long tubes, 10psi, and fuel injectors?
Close to 600/600 to the wheels?

I think you should to the Techco 3.0 twin screw instead.
Have you checked their blower out?
All billet, reverse rotation, pretty amazing stuff

Already ordered the Magnacharger. It will be my third Magna car, and I really dig them. Shooting for 600 rwhp for now. If I want more, the engine will get built and I'll go turbo.

Why not just do the RIGHT blower the 1st time so you can make 600rwhp
AND up to 1000rwhp later if you choose ????

Well , at least Eaton FINALLY made a blower worth putting on a LSx.
I think the other 2 blowers you had were a joke on a LSx engine.
I hope you are getting all of them for free from them.

It's a shame you didn't take a look at the Techco. It appears to be a much better blower.

Always the Magnacharger hater. Did Magnacharger steal one of your girlfriends or kick sand in your face as a kid? LOL!

I have multiple cars, I don't need every car to be a 1,000 HP monster. In fact, I've never owned a 1,000 HP car, and I've been plenty happy with all of the cars so far. Maybe I'm just a 600 HP kinda guy?

You got me there. I hate any company that pushes inefficient blowers for LSx engines on unsuspecting people. But, I did give Eaton props for finally building a good blower for the LSx engines in the TVS 2300.

600rwhp is a GREAT number for the street.

What do you think of the Techco 3.0 twin screw? I think it might be the best FI option available for 600rwhp.

"Sheeple" is classic. I love it. There are a ton of sheep out there.
That's your 2nd CGW color car.

I personally think that 600rwhp the most streetable and fun level of power to have on the road.

beard, I'm gonna keep you in suspense until the wheels are on the car

Hard to judge without seeing it in person and driving one. I mean really, my butt isn't good enough to tell 600 rwhp via one kit vs another 600 rwhp kit. They both feel fun to me. One thing I do like about the Eatons is the OEM reliability and how nice their kits install. TVS will be plenty fun for now. I may get crazy later on and build an engine and go with a pair of turbos. Unless I do that on one of the '69s instead...

Maybe. You're right, though. You have to drive it to really know. I can tell you 600rwhp from a STS feel like ****.

I assume you're getting some gratis from Magnacharger.
If not, and you were my friend, I would try really hard to convince you to do the Techco instead.

The Techco guys were hoping to hit low 500 rwhp. That isn't a big deal. Their system is also about $2K more than a Magna. I'm not sure why you feel so passionate about a system that hasn't even been proven yet. But, I understand you hate Magnacharger and that everything else under the sun is better in your eyes. No problem! I'm not a newbie to mods, so I think I can handle my own decisions.

Techco has already made 600rwhp on a stock longblock. So, I don't know where you are getting 500hp from. $2k more?
Techco is dong their 3.0L twin screw, installed and tunes, for $8,500.
A FI system that will make 600rwhp on a stock engine that still offers the ability to make 1000rwhp with a built motor is a STEAL at that price.
If you took 5 minutes to check out the Techco and their 3.0L twin screw blower's design, you'd see why I, and many others, think it's impressive.

I know that BOTH of us have been modding close to 20 years.
Why don't you just check Techco out and let us know what you think?

For the record, I CLEARLY posted that I think EATON finally did a good job on their TVS 2300. I'd take a EATON TVS 2300 over a STS, and a even a centri blower, on Camaro/G8 with a stock longblock.

Well, if Techco wants to send a kit for me to test on the Camaro, I won't turn it down. I'll be just fine with 600 rwhp on this car for now. I won't ever buy another centrifugal blower again, they just don't have the throttle response I like. My 675 rwhp Paxton Viper feels slow until 100 mph. I like my grunt and throttle snap instant. I don't really care about 1,000 hp if I only want 600. You always have that philosophy that we should always buy the kit that has the highest potential. I always have the philosophy to buy mods with my intended target goals. That is 600 rwhp. I'd rather do turbos above that, just MY personal preference. I hate throwing belts at higher HP.

Tony with only 600 horsepower can you win a race in Texas?

I have been toying with the idea of buying a new Camaro. I love the new retro look. Since we both have a 69 Camaro and Viper if I buy a new Camaro I don't want to hear the word copycat.

I've owned 550 rwhp all-motor cars. They drive like ****. I'd prefer to keep near-stock drivability on this car. Boost is the only way to go if you want drivable power.
