Taking my bone stock 2000 ss for a beat pass
I have just purchased my very first ls1 car a few months ago. It has 35k on the clock and is in real nice condition. I am putting it for winter here in michigan so I wanted to take it out one last time. I have never raced the car, it is stone stock but it seems to run very strong. I have raced many old muscle cars for years but u just cant beat these when it comes too performance and a cheap bang for the buck. I have a nickname of granny shifter because I have a tendency to break alot of parts when I race my 1969 440 Sixpack Super Bee from powershiting it to hard. Hopefully I wont have that problem with this car because I dont plan on pounding it too much, plus I heard the rearend is the weak link. In spring a have a ls6 intake and new throttle body going on it to give it a few more ponies. I love the site hope I posted in the correct spot.

I just crawled under car and checked it, it still has the cats on it and the very skinny y pipe with the goofy horizontal muffler out back. I am almost positive it is stock although it looks very restrictive. But thats fine im not messing with it.

Ya the leaves kinda suck but the trees are awesome. I live at 12 mile and the famous WOODWARD AVENUE right in the heart of all the action. It's awesome in the summer if your a car guy or gal. I just moved back first time Ive raked leaves in 30 yeares lol. During the summer theres always action around town. The problem is the cops hate it and have a zero tolerence level. My buddy got a $2000 dollar drag racing ticket last year. I just took the throttle body off the car and am sending it out tommorrow to have Tim Olson work his majic on it. I also removed the factory piece of S*** shifter and bolted in a old Hurst T hurst handle I had from one of my old race cars. What a differecne getting rid of that rubber isolater. Much more positive feel and crisp shifts. Best part is it took 10 minutes. Anyways looking forward to having alot of fun with this car next year.
