What should my next mod be after, slp intake, full exhaust
So should I go with SFC, LS6 intake, TB, stall/torque converter?
Still not sure what exactly a stall or torque converter does. From what I hear, it give you full torque and any RPM or something like that, could someone go into a little more detail about this....
I have an a4, w/2.73's by the way. 100k, SLP intake with k/n, LTs, y-pipe, magnaflow catback.
Thx guys

Torque converter is what you need, leave the gears alone until you do the TC and a cam then see if you need gears. When you begin to put down semi-serious power and have chassis/traction problems then look at sfc's/suspension mods.
Or if you plan on building nasty hp right away, then do the chassis/suspension/tranny 1st.

i would read the sticky it is a great explanation of f-body mods. but deff get a converter. it as i understand it, it (the converter) basically allows your engine to rev higher before the converter starts to really grab, so your farther into your powerband when you get going. this equates to quicker acceleration. some one correct me if i'm wrong.

Read the sticky man, its a matter of how serious you want to be on the track or street. With a stall and sticky tires you can just about kiss your rear goodbye. You can go a million different routes, take this advice though, be careful with your drivetrain!

so a decent size stall and like a moser 9"...is there something better out there for the money instead of a moser 9"..i looked on ebay and dang they are pricey. or is there really nothing that is better
i guess after reading the "so you wanna go fast" a 12 bolt is for me and after reading more on the internet about torque converters...i'm probably gonna need a transmission cooler

What is all this talk about needing a new rear end after a stall???? FALSE!!! Get a Yank or a Vig 3400-4000, 24k trans cooler and I highly recommend a trans go shift kit set with 1 or 2 washers, mine has one washer and some feed holes drilled out and it's perfect for my daily driver that way. You don't need a tune, but it will help some, I've driven mine for almost 2 years without one with no problems other than tickling the rev-limiter on the 2-3 shift. Go in the automatic trans forum here and do some reading then ask some questions if you need some input. And BTW, SFC's are a great mod..... do those also!!

SFC's and a converter next out of the choices you have listed. In reality, the LS1 makes plenty of power in the stock form so I would do all you suspension/chassis mods first (SFC's, LCA's and brackets, torque arm, etc....) followed by your tranny mods (stall and shift kit). You will be putting every ounce of power where it belongs......to the ground. Then start all your motor work. 600 horsepower is no good if it's just going up in tire smoke because you can't hook.
