Good deal on 2000 z28 convert w/ 52k miles ?
this is from a dealer .....
Looking to possibly buy one of these.
anything major come up around this mileage?
Dark blue with tan leather interior in pretty good shape, couple minor scratches, 1 small ding. top looks ver good, went up and down fine, engine bay very very clean.
no mods on the car at all.
6 spd w/ hurst shifter ( was this a factory option ) ?
stock with brand new tires as well.
It has traction control, power eveything, etc.
Could get it for roughly 11.7k is this a good deal?
Also, what would be the easiest way to get this car down in the low / mid 13's once I purchase it?
thanks as I am new to the ls1 cars, I currently own a 2006 mustang gt

Yea, I couldn't believe it... I was looking for a low mileage REASONABLY PRICED z28 / ss / ta and the first one I found was at a dealer, and to top it off it was a convertible!
didn't make a ton of sense to be honest, do you think 11k flat would an outrageous offer?

Sounds like a pretty good deal, but like it was stated earlier, try to talk them down. When I bought my convertible I talked the guy down an extra $1,500. You'll enjoy it, 6 speed convertibles are great. Add a lid, catback or cutout, and learn to drive the car good and you'll be in the low 13's no problem. When you pick it up post up some pics, and if you need more info check out the convertible section. Lots of good info there.

All sounds like great cars.
However, looks like my deal is going to go through! I'll post pictures as soon as I have the car in hand.
Now I just need to find out what I should do to it first.
thanks guys!

well hasn't this thread turned interesting. the main reason getting out the of the mustang was i just had a bad deal and dropped a ton of money off my total amount financed going to the z28.
I did get it by the way, no pictures yet.
I do have a small problem already that didn't show up on the two test drives that I did.
I have a squealing / squeaking now constantly while driving / idling..... as soon as I turned the A/C on it goes away. This makes me think it's one of the belts. would this be correct?

yes yes ik right. i had gotten a sweet deal myself. and im only the third owner.
id go with either gears, i have 4.11 and absolutely LOVE them (3.73's would be the lowest id go). or go with a cam and long tubes. i got a ttr 224/224 cam wich i also freaking love, but its more of a DD cam. there is definatly some WILD *** cams if your looking for that. and if you get the cam you gotta get some longtubes. idk if youve ownd an ls before, but you will absolutely love it. welcome to the club. now lets see some pics sir!

i should have pics up today or tomorrow....
took it to the dealer, they claim it's the AC clutch, they are going to replace it for free of course since I just bought the car.
