Default Ws6 Meaning?????

sup guys,
I am not at all a noob at LSX topics, but my dad ask me something the other day and I still don't know the answer.........What does WS.6 stand for?? It had been bothering me for a while now....
So what does it mean??

its just an RPO number, like Z71 or WU8

Yes, its an RPO code. An upgrade option that adds the ram-air hood, better suspension, and the hurst shifter (dunno i that was a seperate option, but it might ahve been automatically included in the WS6 package when the 6 speed was included)

No, the Hurst was a separate option. Also, the exhaust is different.

the RPO WS6 has been around for more than 30 years and has appeared on more cars than just the firebird.

its an alphanumeric RPO that means different things on different vehicles.

Oh ok, got it now. I wasent for sure, cause I always see the hurst shifter in a WS6, but rarely ever see it in a regular T/A.

its an appearance package made by the manufacturer. just like Corvette has the Z06..
