Default How much is to much?

My car uses around 1 qt. of oil between oil changes. No leaks, no smoking. I never had a car that uses oil but then I have never had a high horse power car either. My car has the full bolt-on's, cam and heads. Runs fine no issues!
Is there anything that might be messed up or is this not out of the norm?

Depends on how many miles you're running between changes. If you're doing 3000 mile changes, then I wouldn't get upset about it. If it's 1000 miles, then you've got a problem that should probably be looked at.
Have you checked for leaks? If it's leaking, most of them are too easy to fix to not do something about it.

Yeah, its pretty common for them to use a quart or so for every 3K miles driven. I wouldn't be too concerned if its not smoking and running strong.

How many miles on the motor?

Most likely on start up and on fair to hard acceleration.

WOW!

And you use a quart every 3k. ****, I use 1 quart in my DD and it has almost 230k.

Take a look at your PCV and breathers. Also take a look inside the intake, it might be pulling in oil through the instake manifold.

Gm specs 400-600 miles per quart. I have had three of these cars and all used some oil. It's the pcv design that is the culprit in most cases. Get a good dual catch can set up if it bothers you.

My dad still daily drives his 01 1sc stripper that he bought new, and from day 1 it used around 1/2 to a quart every 3000 miles. That car is stock and at 80k miles it still runs and drives like new... Don't worry.

That is a BS excuse we use to make ourselves feel better when our **** is fucked up.

My last(GM) car used 1 quart every 2k, my 98 uses none, what so ever. Ok, maybe a 1/4 every 3k.
