Default Engine coolant light

I'm a noob to the f body's.
I bought a 98 z28 ls1 bolted to a m6 about 2 weeks ago. I've checked all my fluids and stuff but my engine coolant light won't go off. Any suggestions?

It's the coolant level sensor it's on the drivers side of the radiator under the upper hose. You can take it out and clean the crap out of it of just leave it disconnected that will fix it

I unplugged mine, then plugged it back in and it stayed off. That was 7 years ago.

It's 3"-4" under the radiator cap on the PS....

EDIT: you'll see the wire and plug that run to it.
