maybe something is blocking the fuel neck that goes into the gas tank itself, or you might check and see if that metal flap opens all the way when you insert the nozzel.

When it happened to someone I know it was a pinched filler tube to the tank. Have you had the tank dropped for a fuel pump or anything that could have something pinched when it was put back?

Does it do that at every pump? I've noticed Exxon pumps give me weird problems. It will keep kicking off like the tank is full, even after only a couple of gallons. I have to stand there and hold it the whole time. No other gas stations seem to do that, just the Exxon pumps. I pretty much only use BP now, or Shell in a pinch.

Make sure no onw put anything in there! You try other pumps?

I am a claims adjuster and i had a claim once that someone put a tampon down in her tank!!

Was a pretty funny claim to talk about to say the least!

Mine always shuts off when its not even close to full too. Ive gotten used to it, and just keep doing it the way i have been, keep it going manually. It takes a little while, but definatly not 30 mins...
