Default My LT1 making a FI sound for some reason lol

Yea, wondering what this is. At high rpm's, Ive noticed that there is a whine coming from up front, sounds just like a blower, but I am N/A, so this cant be a good thing. PS pump or something like that?

Check to make sure nobody installed a blower or a turbo when you weren't looking. In case a turbo was installed in a remote location, also check for larger fuel lines, an in-line fuel pump, strange exhaust routing, and/or a major increase in horsepower. Try flooring the car at about 35mph and see if it lays down about 50 feet of rubber. If so, you might have been the victim of a UFII (unidentified forced induction install). I hear that's happening a lot in IL these days.

Good luck

On a serious note, try checking everything in the acc belt system. PS pump is very possibile....

I have the same exact thing happen in my 2001 WS6. It's done it ever since I got the car six months ago. It started out as a low whine, sounding like a supercharger, I hear it at revs above 1,500 rpm or so. Lately though, I get this really badass sounding star wars light speed whining noise. Although it sounds ****** cool, I'm not sure if it also means something is about to break It usually makes the light speed noise after a cold start and goes back to a supercharger-like whine after a few minutes. If anyone knows what this means, please tell us

I was told maybe the throwout bearing or pilot bearing on the clutch, but I dont remember exactly. I changed out my clutch after it was wasted and it went away

I would go for Power Steering Pump also. Rev it up until it makes noise then turn the wheel if the noise changes it is the pump.
