Default throwing a code

well my check engine is on, its a P0104 (Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Intermittent) and ive been thinkin that my mass is bad, so ive been looking for a new one. but before i spend the money on it i wana make sure that i need one and am not wasting my money. now my question is, what exactly does the "Intermittent" in the code meaning mean??? ive unpluged and repluged the sensor a few times to see if that was the problem but it didnt work. its a stock descreened/ported mass (was done a long time ago) if that has anything to do with it.

Did your car want to stall out at any time? There is a parameter in the PCM, MAF LOW FREQUENCY FAIL.Sometimes if your car wants to stall out that might trigger it.That does not mean the MAF is bad,But I could be wrong.Who does your tuning?

well i tried starting the car while the MAF was unplugged and it acted the same as when it is plugged in. while driving sometimes from low RPM (idle and also while driving) it seems to struggle like its gona stall and i have to give it a quick tap (50% throttle) on the throttle to get teh RPMs up so that itll start moving normal. if i dont tap the gas leave my foot in the same place while its stuggling and just wait it out, it will eventually even itself out and go normal. i bought the car with the tune already done, it was in SoCal at A&A Corvette Performance.
