AIR Pump Noise
I'm curious if the following symptoms sound like the Air Pump -
Upon start up, and for usually 45-60 seconds afterwards, I can hear a whine that sounds EXACTLY like a cat crying. The whine is present in two distinct patterns - kinda like this - whine whine silence whine whine silence, etc, etc.
The noise goes away after I start driving. I think its the Air Pump warming up the cats. But the weird part is, its only starting happening the last few days. The previous month I've had the car, it never made such a noise.

Sounds like the AIR pump to me. Mine started doing that after about 3 weeks of getting the car, and only after it had be running, turned off, cooled to 150-ish, and run again. I just unplugged the fuse, and let the SES light stay on, too cheap to get HPTuners yet. Been that way for about a year or so. Great thing, no more squealing, which got worst after adding my Borla.

In the engine compartment, in the fuse block closest to the driver, the fuse is labeled "AIR PUMP" and is a 30amp. Remember once pulled, you'll throw codes, I think three (?) of them, AIR pump relay, AIR pump fuse, and AIR injection (?), or something like those. The only way to get rid of them is to program them out.

Sounds good....I'm not sure, I haven't researched the details of tuners, but you might be able to have the AIR removed from the car's computer so that it is completely non-operational, and then take some of the system out. I say some since you live in Cali. and have to deal with the emissions testing.

The LT's made the car really loud, so I couldn't hear the AIR Pump turn on anyway lol.

I thought you could tune that stuff out to where it's not functional any more. Now you can remove the AIR junk and re-install the tubing if needed for visual inspections.
