First thing to check is battery voltage/connections - sometimes they just die, no click or clicking and lights will still come on. The security light isn't flashing right? Maybe it's a VATS issue?

CHecked the battery connections and starter connections and they appeared to be good. No lights blinking on the inside. VATS?? COuld it be the alternator?

Don't think it's the alt, car would still turn over. If you have a digital voltmeter check the battery at the posts. VATS is the vehicle anti-theft system - if the car doesn't recognize the key pelet resistance (broken wire in the ignition switch, dirty key, etc) the BCM won't send a signal for the starter or fuel sytem, resulting in a no start.

My security flashes when I put the key in. The fuses are fine. Grounds are fine. I can hear the starter (its brand new) I checked the battery again (fine) Could it be my key? or something not reading the key? I am clueless and dont know what else to do and have a usless car just sitting there.

It sounds like the key if the security light is flashing. I've heard you can try cleaning the pellet with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol. Do you have the spare key?

You can hear the starter? I'm getting confused now. Thought the car wasn't doing anything? Here's a link on VATS and the security light staying on posted a couple days ago: www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=815496

Ok. So here is what is GOOD --> Battery, fuses, alt, starter, ground wires.
The security light blinks when I insert the key, all the lights come on but when I turn the key...nothing. Could it be the key? Ignition switch? These are the only two thing that I could possibly think of that it could be. The car was running fine on thursday and then I try and start it friday and nothing happens.

Go get the ignition switch changed out, its messed up. I kept having to reset the computer by pulling a fuse out and letting it sit for 30 sec then put the fuse back in so the car would start. That happened to our SS, the security light was on and it would not start. You'll have to get new keys for it as well.

Yep, ignition switch it is.. Had the same thing happen to my 93 TA, kinda weird and had me stumped for awhile. Finally i figured out what it was and she cranked right up after that.
