Default Window motor

Where is the best place to buy a replacement window motor for a 2000 trans am? And what do u guys think would be a reasonable price to install? And to install a new check engine light? Its the drivers side window if it makes a difference.

Motor runs at about 50-60 bucks brand new locally, its the same motor passenger and driver. I am not sure what you mean by "install a new check engine light"........ do you mean the bulb behind the cluster/gauges?

The best price I found at the time was 100 per door, its fair to say you get what you pay for, but I never had any problems after the new motors

Really? $100 is the best you found?? I got my window motor for $35 at Autozone. It works fine. Nothing spectacular, but it gets the job done. It's still a bit slow but I think that's because of the voltage issue with the doors rather than the motor itself.

I purchased the window motor at Advance auto parts. I think it was a dorman unit. My only grip was that the bolts it came with are very short and I think on at least one of the nuts is barely has any threads through it. I put some loctite on so I'm hoping it holds.

I just finished replacing mine yesterday, I went to checker and got some good siemens motors for $75 a piece. I did a search and most people said they're excellent replacements, so I figured you pay for quality lol
