Not very much. It would be better to just get ported MAF ends and the throttle body from the same place

thepowderpro.com has very nice porting practices and then can also clean up the engine bay with some powdercoating.

I've already got the parts so. Anyone know where I can get the rubber coupler for the maf to the lid? Will my stock bellows work or do I need the slp one?

Better throttle response from the TB and ditch the SLP MAF.

Yep ditch the MAF if you're stock. Your stock bellows can stretch or the SLP ones will work.

Damien who used to port throttle bodies on this site had this to say about gains from his porting work.

You can use a fernco from you local hardware store. I used one for the moment. I measured how much material it took to cover lid and maf, Cut it to lenght, used a heat gun to soften it up and it went right on. and the stock bellows will work.

worked like a champ, doesnt look too bad either.

Thanks for the info. Too bad yesterday when I went to install the throttle body I realized that the one I have is for a 00-02 and I need one for a 98-99.
