Home portted TB pics
Some of the guys and me got together this weekend to try and port our TB's. This was the first time any of us had tried portting anything but I think things turned out pretty good.I was kindda conservitive on how much to take out, didnt wanna screw anything up. We used a dremel and a grinding bit to get the material out then some drum sanding and wet sanding by hand to get it smooth. Thanks to the guys who responded to my post asking how. The tape trick really worked out well. No Idle problems at all.

Re: Home portted TB pics
What you're doing is filling up that entire area and making it the same shape as the rest of the throttle body so it is a perfect curved surface like the rest of the TB.
Then you drill holes for the IAC motor and the other tube that connects to the TB. Make the holes the diameter of a pen and that will be sufficient. If the car has problems idling, enlarge the holes.
This is all assuming you didn't port the part around the butterfly valve cus that would be bad.
