Default In with the new and out with the old, ARH vs Kooks

I bought a set of ARH 2in primary with 4in collecter headers to replace my Kooks 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 as I'm getting ready to spray the car. Nick at ARH hooked me up with some 4in mufflers and turn downs too. Awsome customer service and more than happy with the product. When you see the merge collocter on the ARH you will not go with another header.

I could be wrong but won't the bung location on the new header be in close proximity to the frame rail and make it near impossible to put in an O2 sensor?? other than that they look awesome, and you should be able to sell the Kook's pretty easily as well.

If I have any issues with the 02 I'll post up pics, once I get my trans back and reinstall that the headers are going in and I'll post up some installed pics.

As for prices I'll see if I can get American to chime in, they really hooked me up. As for the Kooks they will be replacing my MAC mid length's on my bolt on car.

The placement of the 02 is like that on all their headers, and on my 1-7/8 there was absolutely no problem with the sensor. Just thought I'd add that in... Those things are great and I agree the quality is second to none.

Bill, I'm really happy to hear you like our headers. Get out there and let her rip. Keep me posted on your progress. Thanks.

Not only are AR header the best, but they are a great company to deal with. When I was having my headers installed we ran into a couple of problems. I called them with some questions and they kept calling me back making sure that everything was going okay. ARH is a class act!

Yup, same on my ARH 1 7/8s. Off the car I thought the 02 placements looked funny. But they fit great to the car, and they are on the right side so the wires run fine without having to rig them so they don't get melted. Same with the clutch line, tons of room. My friends car his older "best" headers are right on the clutch line, and bake the fuild

the mufflers without the extensions are 140 each. They are 100% stainless steel, even the packing so they won't be affected by e85,nitrous or any other fuels or additives. They weigh about 3.5 lbs. each for the lightweight guys

Those 4 inch collectors are humongous. I'll be needing a set of large tube headers soon. I really want a pair of something similar to these. I'm going to have to start sacing my pennies.
