Pacesetter long tubes rusting
Everyone says not to get a cheap set of long tubes like pacesetters cause they can rust and to just spend the money now and get a good set that will last. Well, I don't care all that much about having shiney long tubes, so who cares if they rust, right? The only reason I wouldn't get them is if people are having trouble with the long tubes rusting all the way through and falling apart. If the rusting just effects the looks and not the performance, I'll go with pacesetters. If they are gonna rust through or fall apart I'm going American racing.

rusting goes all the way through. i think coated headers would be better for your car though since they release less heat in the engine bay. at least uncoated pacesetters did on people after a couple years in the mx6 forums (depending on where you live). I BELIEVE the northern roads with salt makes them rust quicker? i think.

mine pacesetters arent' rusting yet but i haven't had them that long and i don't drive in the rain. If i were you i would look into LPP headers and they are stainless steel and are very reasonally priced. If money isn't an issue i would go with ARH for sure tho.

How long would pacesetters reasonably last in DD that sees all sorts of weather? 5y? 10y? (what are stock pipes on cars? Theres old junkers from early 90's that are still running with stock exhaust on)
Also, whats the conception on those LPPs? I'm gonna get LT and TSP TD in the summer but don't want to break my wallet in the process.

yeah, its one of those internet myths.
if you dont get stainless your an idiot and shouldn't even bother.
but **** if i had a money tree like everyone else on this site does then i could understand paying 1k for a header. until i plant a money tree in my backyard, i will be sticking with pacesetters or lpp

A lot depends on where you live and how much you drive the car, too.
Someone who lives in the northeast and drives it everyday is going to see them rust away a lot faster than someone who lives in the southwest and drives it once in a blue moon.

Alright, I've had mine on for 2 years now no problems. Seriously, just get the Ceramics and be CAREFUL when you install them so you don't chip the coating and you'll be fine. You're in Nevada... unless you're taking the car up to Mt. Charleston half the year, you have nothing to worry about.
