Default flowmaster 40 series

Where I work we get truck loads of flowmaster stuff. I was wondering if anyone has run a single flowmaster 40 series on thier car with it mounted where the stock muffler is. Then have it dumped just before the bumper on drivers side.

How do you think this would sound?

thats cool. I think I am going to do it just to see what it sounds like. I hate the sound of my borla exhaust.

I don't think it will sound as good as the Borla. Is your Borla the adjustable one, if so try adding or removing plates.

You mean something ike this

Mufflex 3.5" Single out with a Flowmaster 30 Series Race Muffler.
Pics are before and just after install. I have made a few adjustments since the last photo and the system sets up much tighter now.
I've always been Old School, I loved the sound of my twin 40's on my old T/A, With this setup my Formula seemed to gain a bit torque over the previous 3" SOTL Flowmaster system.

yeah exactly like that. How does it sound? I dont know if mine is the adjustable one or not. I dont think so, but it does sound like more sound comes out of the passenger side. I think the reason I dont like it is because I have never liked the sound a glasspack style muffler gives.

I have 2 40 series flows on my s10 and it sounds bad ***.

Im using that setup with a 3" 1 chamber flowmaster. Sounds badass!

If you don't like the sound of the borla try putting an XR1 muffler in the IPIPE

I already have clearance issues with the Y pipe, so I dont need to add anything that is larger in diameter.

Flowmaster already makes a catback like that. I know a guy that has one on his LT1 car. It sounds really good, maybe the best, if you dont mind the single outlet.

You can adjust the tailpipe so its hidden for a no tailpipe look.

this is with the cut out off before i installed the bullet muffler. the bullet took the rasp away on the flowmaster and with the cutout off. that sound at around 2k it took that away so its a keeper for now

I have a flowmaster cb with the dual outlet and a cutout, and it sounds good at idle and after it quits rasping when I go wot. I'm really not sure what series the muffler is, cuz it was on the car when I bought it from a horrible dealership. With the cutout off, obviously the muffler doesn't matter.
