Default What underdrive pulley to buy?

I am looking to buy a 25% pulley but really dont know which kind to buy. I have been looking at ASP, SLP, and Powerbond. Just wanting to know some opinions on which one to purchase. What is the cheapest but performs good too! So what I am really wanting to know is some prices and where to purchase a underdrive pulley? Thanks!

I found an ASP pulley kit on summitracing.com for $217.69. I also have a $50 dollars off coupon. Would this be a good price? This also comes with the alternator pulley. Here is a link to the site: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...198+4294924667 Thanks

That is a good deal, but I don't know if you want to get the alternator pulley for an A4 though.

The powerbond is the SLP pulley. Out of those choices, I would go with ASP because it is lighter. I prefer the March pulley over anything though. IMO it is the best fluid damper with more than a 10% underdrive.

powerbond/slp is the same pulley. asp seems to be the lightest unit from what i heard. i got a powerbond bc i got a good deal on it and it has a really high belt retention wall that i liked.

ASP is slightly lighter than a powerbond.

Powerbond has always looked higher quality to me and has a very high belt retention wall that would make it hard for the belt to come off even with a stretched/slightly loose belt.

If you are worried at all about throwing a belt, go with SLP. If you could care less get an ASP. Not to say you will throw a belt with the ASP but it is more likely due to its small retaining walls.

I went with the slp because of the higher wall. I'm not really concerned with a few pounds i'd rather not have to change belts. Not that you will but the probability is higher with the asp.

You will be happy with the ASP or Powerbond pulleys. Pick the one you like better. ASP often has issues with pulleys not being in stock which is why most people go with the Powerbond instead.

We sell both and no problems with either as long as they were installed correctly.

Ive got a Powerbond and love it. The only thing I noticed is that the serpentine belt rubs a little on the alternator bracket bolt. But I just filed down the bolt and it works great. The SLP and Powerbond are the exact same pullies, one just costs more *cough*SLP*cough*.
