ls6 intake install (grinding)
I'm about to throw an ls6 intake on my 00 t/a. I'm going to stay with my coolant lines and grind the bottom down. I was wondering what you guys used to do this? Sandpaper?

It's just small plastic fins. Dremel, drill with sandpaper rolls, pocket knife, whatever it takes.

We went ahead and dremeled it then put it back on. BUT, I have a vacuum leak somewhere, argghhhh. You can hear it at idle but goes away when it I give it any gas.
I'm going to check the hoses tomorrow. Also, I don't think my map sensor made a great seal to the new intake. The only other possibility is that I didn't cut the ribs all the way down flat. Do you have to get those dead even with the flat surface underneath? I can't wait to rip it all off again
