Smile Headers

What long tube headers would guys/gals suggest? I have a 99 T/A with the
M6 and i wnat something reliable that wont crack or blow out gaskets. I will be at the strip a few times a month but other then that its a daily driver. Ive been looking at the pacesetters but i figured i would get some input before i decided.

Thanks

I just installed my LPP stainless headers last night. So far I love them. They look good and clear great. I had to notch the K memeber a tad but that happens with about every brand of header. So far alot of good reviews on the LPP's that is why I went with them. Stainless headers just a little more expensive then pacesetter's. But there is about a million people on here with pacesetters.

Do alot of reading (searching). Alot just depends on how much you want to spend. Then if you want stainless or not. I went with ARH and their catted Y. There is no notching out the K member or anything else. My hawk is a m6 and also my D/D. I went for stainless and a header that you don't have to cut and grind to put them on.

Went with LPP's. 6 months later, they sound awesome, have great clearance, were an easy install and were a great price. Great product, quality and price. Can't beat that!

Who is LPP? im not familiar with them. Do you all have the cats on the Y pipe or did you do a rear O2 sensor delete?

I'm happy with my coated pacesetters. I put them on last august along with poly motor mounts and didnt have to notch the K member at all. The finish still looks as good as when I put them on. The reason I went with the pacesetter is that they tuck up really nice and I am lowered. I also decided that the money I saved on headers could be applied elsewhere since they made good gains.

Do you have problems with them sealing or the bolts backing out?

I run Dynatech Supermaxx longtubes, excellent fit and ground clearance and very good quality. I would recommend them to anyone.

I went from pacesetter to ARH. The ARH went in their hole in 10 min both sides the pacesetters were a bitch. ARH hands down, change your motor mounts while you are doing the headers.

I didnt have to make any modifications to my car to get my LPP's to go in. They slid right in and i havnt had a problem since. They are stainless and they are only 500. I wouldnt have gone any other day, even if i had unlimited money i still would have gone with them

My buddy has pacesetters on his TA and they look/sound awesome a year and half later. I am gonna do headers and Y on my '00 SS soon. Ceramic pacesetters from texas speed seem like a pretty good deal. Are they a pretty good outfit? Also, what kinda power can I expect from headers/catted y and SLP catback and an SLP lid? Thanks guys!
