SLP LS6 Intake
I have a 98 Z28
I am buying a SLP LS6 intake to keept the EGR
however it states that cutting of the egr must be done for it to fit
i have no problem doing that but how does it actually bolt down to the intake after the cut is made?
thanks!

The SLP EGR mount is different so it has to be modified to fit.

You can also keep the EGR with the FAST, or BBK intake(no EGR modification needed).
Also unless you need it to pass emissions testing, IMO ditch the EGR!

To answer the og question! It uses a swaggle lock. Basically a compression fitting. The manifold has a threaded tube bolted to it. You cut the egr tube, slide on a nut, then a ferrule. Just make sure you get the egr tube, nut, ferrule square over the threaded tube on the intake.
Also I agree with everyone else. Ditch the egr. It makes the engine bay look alot nicer as well. Doubt they will notice. The code can be tuned out to still pass emissions. Other than the visual.

Your car is an OBD II car (96 on up are all OBD II) .... your tune in your cars PCM will tell the emissions computer what ever story you want it to tell...throw the EGR and AIR crap away and tune the car...that stuff is all dead weight....I threw all that stuff including the cats away 7 years ago and pass emissions every year with no problem.
