Default New Mods... Having Problems

I just installed a Ported LS6 intake as well as a Ported and Polished stock throttle body and I'm having an Idle issue. When I TAP the idle the RPMs will shoot up to about 1500 and hover there for a few seconds befor settling back down to normal. I'm not sure if all the new air is messing with the MAF sensor or if the car just needs to be tuned or what.

Check your throttle cable. When I did mine it some how got stuck. If thats the problem take the clip off where they connect back by the rear of the fire wall, let the cable extend and then put the retaining clip back on.

did you disconnect the battery when you swapped these parts? did you check for a vacuum leak?

Yeah, I had the battery off a couple of times to try and clear the security code that came on for some reason. And as far as I know there were no vacuum leaks. I also deleted the EGR/AIR/and rear O2s if that would make a difference.

It shouldn't, does the motor try to fall on it's face when you slowly apply the accelerator? thats a good indication that there's a vacum leak, or you can take some starter fluid and go around the manifold and see if your idle changes at all.

couldn't it be caused by the ported TB? Like if he or whoever accidentally took some material out around the TB?

you also could have opened your blade to far at wot if you did the bump stop mod but if it is an idle issue that's probably not it.
