Battery relocation help!!!
Im relocating the battery to the spare tire well. I have everything almost wired except the battery terminals. I have a 1/0 wire running to batt from alt. I have a second 1/0 wire running to the starter then a 4ga going from starter to the factory fuse panel. My question is should I run a circuit breaker in the line from the alt to batt? If so what amp? 150? 200? The alt is the factory alt with no extra current draw... Thanks

The circuit breaker is going to have to be higher in rating than what the starter pulls during a cold start. On every car I have ever wired from scratch or seen wired from scratch I have never used or seen a circuit breaker inline before the starter or alternator.
Why did you go to the alternator from the battery first? I would go battery to starter, starter to alternator, then alt to fuse panel.

Engines typically pull around 1 amp per cube.. So figure a 350a fuse, tops.
My buddy did the conversion a while ago and we ended up rigging up a breaker inline between the new cable and the stock batt line and chopped the connector off. His Taylor kit was JUST BARELY long enough.

Sorry for the confusion... I actually have a 1/0 ran from batt to alt then a seperate 1/0 ran from batt to starter then starter to fuses...
Would I want a breaker between the batt/alt line?

1/0 wire are you supplying the entire state of kansas with power?????? All you need is a 1 GAUGE wire and a #6 to the alt. I never use any wire thicker than 1 gauge on any conversion i have done.
This setup uses a 1 gauge wire to the engine with no problem whatsoever. Using a 1/0 cable is totally not necessary.
