the pipe is under the car installed. it would be a bitch to get in there and grind specially with no lift. could it just be welded over the existing weld? this is bs you should see this weld.

First of all, You should NEVER weld your exhaust!!! If you have ever tried to remove a Transmission with a welded exhaust you would know what I am talking about. You should always use the clamps that come with the system you are installing... Amazing how Exhaust shops who do no other mechanical work so easily will weld up an exhaust system!!!

Sorry about the Rant!! In answer to your question. You should at least grind off the old weld. You now may have no other option than to re-weld it.

Looks like someone melted some metal and sprayed it on the pipe. That's one fabu' booger bead.

With respect to the question at hand.... it's nothing a grinder and an actual welder couldn't easily fix.

Those welds need to be removed and ground clean and rewelded. Looks like he either ran out of gas on his wire feed or just does not nave good welding skills. My mother welds better than that and she is 87. Pop was a great welder and i am pritty good and sometimes mess up.Everyone does at times. But those welds are BAD REAL BAD.
