If you are wanting to make it louder, you could always buy the two pieces out of the ORY and just swap the cats back in when you have the car inspected or emissions checked.

It hangs lower b/c your probably used to seeing the stock flattened pipe in there and now your looking at a full 3" pipe that takes up way more room than the old.

One day when I have time, I think I might add an exhaust hanger somewhere around the merge to hold the y-pipe up a little bit more.

u know ur right i never thought of it that way, but my old setup was a pacesetter y with no cats and i do remember now it was flatten, and this is more oval and straight through, its just really bugging me cause i would love to lower the car but i dont think i can

Short shifter.

I might be completely off here, but I thought most "high-flow" cats flowed pretty close to OEM honeycomb cats? The "high flow" thing was, at least the impression I was under, in comparison to the old pellet/bead style catalytic converters. I know the aftermarket ones are typically smaller, weigh less, tuck better, etc, but I'm curious as to whether anyone's done any empirical testing on an OEM and an aftermarket cat.

Even OEM cat vs no cat won't be a huge difference. Removing OEM cats might yield what, 5 hp? Keeping the cats can also reduce the rasp in your exhaust, I say leave 'em.
