Unhappy stupid spark plug wires...please help

I'm in the middle of swapping (upgrading) my motor mounts and exhaust.
I bought a spark plug wire tool, and the wires at the plug are stuck. I've already started wearing down the rubber on the tool (please don't add anything obscene here), and just got it like 10 min ago. Anybody have any tips, secrets, voodoo, or witchcraft that could possibly help me out?

Thanks in advance

Just grab down as far as you can with your fingers and wiggle and pull at the same time. Always works for me.

Thanks for the reply.

I tried everything imaginable. I'm going to have to buy new wires. Me and Mr. Channel lock had a little one on one time with them, sooo....

I think my engine has the original ACs' in it, so I'm sure the boots are original as well. So I suppose whatever "lubrication" they may have had, is long gone.

I'll make sure that on the next set, I'll put a little anti-seize in 'em.

Make sure you get proper spark plug boot dielectric grease. Regular grease or anti-seize may allow arc tracking which is never a good thing.

Lol thanks everyone.

I rotated, twisted, chanted, and begged. Wires came out but the inner clips stayed on the plugs. I picked up a set of duralasts from auto zone.

Just finished installing my polys today, will be installing headers tomorrow.

The rotate before remove trick typically works for me. What brand wires? I've destroyed a full set (over time) of taylor thundervolts because they clip TOO tight. . .

Vice grips and a long metal rod to use as a pry bar. Worked like a charm.

GREAT move on the mounts am regretting not installing them while i was on my headers install. my driver side is mount is going bad and its killing me and its really a pain to replace them.
