I'd think with the LQ9 and a t-rex cam, the stock manifolds would probably choke out a good 30rwhp. That's my best guess.

He better be spraying, if not thats a 13 sec truck at best. I mean lets get the facts straight here, its a 383 so in all honesty he isn't pushing more than 500 HP unless its an all out race motor. The truck is a brick in the wind probably weighing around 4k pounds (Thats if its a single cab short bed truck).

You should be able to beat the pants off of him like you sit now

241 heads? WHY? Way to go backwards with a build. I understand a bump in compression but 241s don't flow nearly as well as 317s and in your case the 317s actually flow better exhaust than 243s so that would have helped you not having headers. Why a Trex? Biggest cam you could find? You're an idiot...

OH and just to help you out a bit put up a thread in the for sale section looking for a set of LS3 manifolds...they flow much better than the stockers and should be able to be gotten cheap or free.

241s were 50 buks 317s werent a option cause i bought a shortblock from my job for 300 like i said it was a budge build i have 1500 invested including the truck ... as far as the cam i bought it awhile back then decided to go with l92 setup ..... so why spend the extra cash on a cam and im not sure if ls3 manifolds will fit

Is his motor built or is it an Ebay 383?

My friend bought a 383 off ebay for $3k and my LT1 walked it. What a waste
