Default Heater core bypass

Hi guys, recently got a 2000 5.3 lm7 into my s10,
no plans on running a heater for now, so want to cap off the ports from the water pump.
what's the best way to do this?
as for now I just rerouted it back to the other line (which should go to the surge tank i think?)

first off, will this routing work temporarily, second, what is a better way to accomplish this?

I would keep it open and flowing, Heads will run hot if you don't IMO. The way you have it connected is right, One line into the heating and one bk.

I just noticed the home fabbed exhaust manifold.... cool.

not too many options for me on a budget

Search in the conversion forum. I believe it's a dayco hose that is U shaped. I can't see the pics here from work, but the U shaped hose is how I ran mine.
