Stupid Question
I am converting my LT car to an LS6.
I have the new K-member installed and motor stands with mounts are in the mail.
Next problem is finding source for the proper bolts.
I'd guess grade 8 hardness, but is there somewhere that lists GM bolt sizes?
I'd like to have it all ready to go when when stuff shows up in mail.
Need bolts for stands and motor mounts - Should I call the Chevy parts counter?
Haven't gotten alot of co-operation from them in the past with stuff like this.
They just want the no-effort/Big ticket sales it seems.

Where to buy bolts is not the question,
I do not yet have the motor mounts as stated above- Would like to have proper set of bolts ready when they arrive.
I titled the post "Stupid Question" but it's really not stupid at all.
Just wondering if someone has a list of needed bolts for motor mount assembly.

A Dealership would be more expensive, but the Parts Dept. would be able to ensure you get the correct bolts for each application, rather than guessing at the hardware store or online.
I wouldn't want to purchase what I thought was correct and then go to use them and have them be wrong. Then you have to go through this entire ordeal again and worry about returning what you've already purchased.
Like I said, it'll probably be expensive, but, if it were me, I'd bite the bullet and get them at a GM Dealership.

I was the only customer there and the guy was helpful this time.
He printed me out a blow up showing the motor mount assembly.
Believe it or not, they didn't list dimensions of all the bolts even though they were shown on the exploded view.
He gave me the dimension of the two long bolts that go thru the motor mounts but had no info on either the bolts that connect the iron stands to the k-member or the motor mounts to the block.
I guess I will try another search on ls1 tech and keep digging.
