Next to the computer, small black hose that has a "T" and one branch runs up the passenger side fender in a big wire loom.

Meaning my air conditioning? No, it is temporarily removed but it sure does get HOT in Tampa.... so it will be going back on as soon as the car is finished mechanically and tuned.
What does this actually do?

Unless I'm looking at it wrong... You need that.
The back of the intake (right where the map sensor is) is a vacuum hose plug in, don't plug that up and you won't be able to control your vents inside the car.
The actual air tubes fittings etc can all be taken out. Near the rear of the intake there is a "T" fitting. One comes from passenger side (left on the T), one goes into the intake (Right on the T) and one goes to the EGR/AIR (middle or l part of the T). You can either buy the barbed connectors and connect the two lines together (what I did) or you can do what I did while I was cleaning up my buddies engine bay last night and put a screw in it and cap it with a vacuum hose cap.
