I know they won't give me HP gains but they were on the car when I got it, but when I put it on the dyno it cut out at a certain rpm and I was told it was the coils that dropped out.

Have you dyno'd it with the MSD coils?

I doubt the stock coils were "cutting out".

The MSD coils offer no performance improvements over stock coils but they have a very high failure rate-and price tag.

As you already have them, leave them in use. Until they fail.

Truck coils won't do much on a stock-ish car.

good to know about the high failure rate. Sucks cause they are soooo expensive too!

MSD seems to have a lot of failure points. The coils. The wires seem to have a high complaint rate of how hard they are to make sure that they are clicked on. I even went through two ignition boxes on my turbo eclipse.

MSD coils & coilpacks dont add any performance to our cars. Same goes for the Accel coils. People buy them because they look pretty. Big Big waste of money.
