I just went from a stock clutch/pp/fw to a TEX OZ-700 and SLP LT's to KOOKS LT's. ONLY when I go from a stop and pull off in first, I hear a knocking from, it seems to be, the clutch area. It sounds more like something hitting something else than just a popping/knocking though. I torqued all bolts to spec so i'm not sure what to make of it.....Ideas?

After I installed my headers, they smacked the floor board on the drivers side. I had to make some room for movement with my air hammer.

Sounds like its time for Poly Motor mounts..ever car went put LT's on we always do the mounts cause of this reason.

I went from SLP lt's to Kooks lt's strictly for the clearance, i've probaby got another 2 solid inches of clearance with the kooks. I mean they fit SOOOO good and tight underneath so Sepsis, you may be right. However, I remember telling the gus helping me with this that the Kooks y-pipe didn't fit very well to the exhaust bracket so that's another thing i've gotta check. Motor mounts would be my next mod I reckon since i've got such a large cam.... Thanks for the response guys.....

MM98, there's no way this noise i'm hearing is any kind of chatter....I'm sure we torqued every bolt to specs and it's a Tex OZ-700 which isn't supposed to come with any chatter. Thanks though.

Tex OZ-700 clutch do have alot of chatter least the couple cars ive rode in w them compard to the monster I had when I was M6

The above is the average review i've read on the clutch. I had to leave town so it'll be another week or so before i can get my hands on it to figure it out but i'll keep this thread updated.....Thanks for the response...

I would all but put money on the Y-pipe hitting the floorboard.

I thought that since the y-pipe didn't fit the exhaust bracket so good (it's offset to the right) that that would be the problem, but I put a rubber pad between the two and I still got the knock so i've gotta rule out the exhaust bracket knock (although i've considered the option that I put the bracket back on backwards). The kooks fit SO well that i'm betting it's hitting something but I haven't track it down yet.

My drivers side of the Y was hitting, not passenger side.

I installed poly mounts with my headers. My header collectors are 3 1/2 inches. Most are 3" that's why I think it was hitting the floor.
