102mm Fast LSX. Yes or no?
So ive been wondering this for a while now. I wanting to go with one of these but I'm not sure which one.
Why do I see more people with the 92mm set up as opose to the 102 mm set up on their LS1.
Which one is right for me?
I have stage 2.5 5.3L heads
and tsp v3 tourquer231/234 643/598 111 cam
Just some pics

102 will be perfect for you.
Most people with a 92 either got a good deal or are to stubborn to believe that a 102 is not too big for a stock 346.
I think you would benefit greatly from a 102, but you'll need fuel rails, injector extenders and LS6 steam pipes (coolant crossover) IIRC.

a 92 will be just fine for your set up but i prefer to go bigger so i have a 102 with a 92 throttle body. i think you see alot of people with the 92 cause they have been out longer than the 102 and up until recently was discontinued but fast started making them again also you dont have to buy alot of extras like you do with a 102. as sepsis said youll need to buy different fuel rails, use ls1 style injectors and get coolant crossovers and you will need to grind the water pump down a little to get it to fit properly.

the fast 102 is worth 4 more hp ,you can probably get for the same price as a new fast 92.you will need new fuel rails and injector adapters with the 102 intake..use a 92 mm TB.

Yeah theyre pretty sweet heads. I
I guess Im just going to have to go with the 102mm. At least there'll be some improvement from ls6 intake.
Anybody know if a tune is required for this? Don't really know much about that.

I've got a tv3 with stage 1 ls6 heads and a 102/102 set up and a 100mm maf and 104 lid so I'm set up to move some air. I kinda think I went on the big side but I'm going to transfer a lot of the parts to a 408 when that time comes

With all the red under the hood I cant tell if you have an a4 from the pic, lol. If you do you gotta bend the whit out of your fill tube. I'm installing one now, easily worth it IMO. I can only parrot back what ive read, but the 102 is just a superior piece, look for Tony mamo's threads on them. Hes been porting both for years and knows what's up.

They do but they are typically more difficult to tune and when you install them, you usually have to grind a bit off of the water pump to make it fit.
A 92mm TB won't choke the car at all until you're making some serious HP. The gains you get from the FAST 102 is more from the runner design, not because it's necessarily a 102mm opening.
From what I've learned on here anyways.
