Default Jet Hot catted Y pipe clamps?

Hey guys! I have the Jet Hot LTs and catted Y pipe. I have heard that the clamps with the kit are kind of crappy, so what did you guys use instead when you installed yours? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I had all mine, except where they connect to the headers, welded. On the headers I used some band clamps.

What size band clamps would I need, and where could I find these stainless steel band clamps? Thanks!

JRP, is this in your sticky? I find myself posting this answer a lot:

Get TWO 3inch BUTT Joint Stainless Steel Band Clamps for the cats, and ONE 3inch SLIP Joint Stainless Steel Band Clamp for the driver side Y-pipe. I got these all at Napa, they are the same brand that came w/ my header kit. Make sure you get stainless, cause they also carry alumin. I think they are Torx brand or something. Just make em pull out the catalog and order if they don't have em.

This way you can use the TWO 3inch SLIP Joint connectors that come w/ the kit to use @ the collectors.

At least that's what I did. I used one of the 3inch U clamps for the Y-pipe to I-pipe.

This pic makes sense of it all

So going from top to bottom:

__________3 inch U clamp

3inch BUTT____________3inch BUTT
3inch SLIP_____________3inch SLIP
