Default GMMG or Sweet thunder true-duals

Yes, I know this has been covered before and I've done ths searches. I'm just looking for advice. I currently have kooks 1 7/8 lts, a kooks ORY, and a GMMG system. I like the way it sounds, but sometimes the rasp annoys me. I had cats on it at one point, but I took the first chance I had to go back to an ORY becuase of the way it sounded with the cats. Lately, I have been searching sweet-thunder true duals and I am extremely impressed with how they sound. Would it be worth me buying the sweet thunder td's runnng them then deciding which system I plan to use.

I used these two videos as a comparison because I use to have an MS4 with the gmmg and it sounded identical to the video, and after comparing the td's, the td's just sounded better.

gmmg

sweet thunders

I drive it like 4 times a month, literally. Then the summer I only drive it to the track or on a hour trip to the shore.

get the duals. if youre looking at tsp I believe they only offer the bullet mufflers with them now. I dont think they carry the sweet thunders or spiral flow anymore. No catback sounds better than duals imo.

They don't. And they really aren't bullets either. Its something like "rumbler" but was told is the same thing as the bullets, but not. lol

No matter what, run duals. They flow better and their is absolutely not a hint of rasp with them. Its not hard at all to run them under/over the axle. I've been through 2 catbacks before I did what I should've done the first time.

Get the duals. I had a GMMG for almost 5 years. It was my very first mod. Sounded awesome when I added LTs, Catted Y also. Did H/C/I and it got ***** LOUD even with the catted Y and lost the deepness it had. Switched to duals dumped with Spiral Flows and never looked back.

Last I checked TSP is not offering the sweet thunder mufflers as an option for their true duals. With that being said, you could always order the TSP duals that come with the dynomax bullets and replace them with either sweet thunder muffler or classic chambered powersticks.

The difference between the two chambered designs is the 3" sweet thunder necks down on the inside to about 2 1/2", meanwhile the 3" classic chambered stay the same 3 " all the way thru. In the end they sound possibly the same but the CFM flow would be better with the classic chambered.

i did swap mufflers.....my sweet thunders necked down to 2.25" inside, so i tried a set of 3" classic chambered powersticks first (before i wanted it quiet)......they were loud and crisp sounding, but didn't have the same deep tone the sweet thunders did....i ran dynomax bullets for a while, IMO they sound like pure *** compared to the chambered style mufflers....so i went back to a set of 3" classic chambered cobrapacks.....they were awesome, but still very loud.....i was daily driving the car then and it got old....i have another driver now, so i miss the cam loping with the duals.....you may think it's extreme that i've had several catbacks, but i've had fun changing my car around....at my level there's not too much difference in power going to y-pipe/catback, but no comparison in sound.....i'll have another set of duals under there before long and i'll run the new sweet thunder 2.75" internal mufflers

I have a baby 115 lsa cam in the car now, and the gmmg isnt bad but with the ms4 I wasn't too happy with it. Shortly, I'll be going back to a more radical cam so I'll be right back where I was. I've also had the gmmg on my lt1 trans am a few years ago, and now my WS6, kinda getting tired of it.
