Default Help with FAST Intake height questions

Gents,

I have searched Hi and Low and still cannot find what I am looking for. I have even called FAST and they said they would get back to me so I am hoping that some of you guys have a Fast 90 and 102 and can help me out. I have tight clearance underneath my hood and want to get a fast intake but am not sure which one to go with due to height restrictions.

What is the overall height of the 92mm and 102mm intakes?
Does it move the throttle body up from its stock location? (I have an ls1 intake manifold at the moment)
Does it move it forward?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know the exact specs on the fast intakes, but when I threw on my fast 92 it fit like a champ. No clearance issues or anything.

Thanks, can you measure the height of the manifold from the valley cover and the height of the throttle body for me?

Also what throttle body are you using?

I can't measure it right now as it's sitting in storage right now. I have a PTM 92mm.

Mine seemed like overall maybe an inch higher in the center. TB stays in the same spot.

Are you referring to the manifold or the TB? What size manifold did you have?

If you have tight clearance with a stock LS1 intake now, it will definately be a problem with the 102! The 90/92 is probably gonna be your best bet.

well I have about a lil over an inch clearance before I hit the hood with my throttle body. I know the intake will work if i use a different strut bar. I'm more worried about the placement of the 102mm throttle body and hump on top. I cant find any low profile 102mm throttle bodies

Valley cover to the top of the 102 NW 7" and about 8" to top of intake. Hope this helps. Nice Ride!
