Recommendation for cheap long tubes.

Recommendation for cheap long tubes.
Hey guys, I have a 98 Formula firebird and my current long tubes are shot. I flattened the collectors on a high spot in a construction area, and then I hit some ice and slid off the road. The LT acted like a shovel and scooped up a bunch of dirt, bending it to the point of touching the oil filter and tearing a hole in it.
So yeah, now I need a replacement, but it couldn't have come at a worse financial time for me, so I need cheap. I fully understand that cheap equals bad quality, but I don't care right now. I would like for it to fit OK, but I don't care if it rusts out after two years, I have been meaning to rework the exhaust anyway.

if you go ebay budget headers, theres a sponsor here called speed engineering that has chinese made headers that are inspected by them individually. fitment is good from what ive read, true 1 3/4 primaries, decent welds and flanges. its only like 365 for the headers and catless y pipe. better than rolling the dice with some random ebay seller.
ive also been looking at the BBK ones from summit which are 449 with the y pipe.
TSP makes good ones too, a little more than speed engineering costs but i think the overall consensus is that they are of better quality.

Speed Engineering, unless you want a 1 7/8.
OP if I was still building my car I would take a good look at this. That's cheap as hell and stainless.

I found these BBK headers on ws6store.com. Only $390 for longtubes, looks like it includes everything, PLUS free shipping.

Is BBK a pretty good brand?

I just got my speed engineering headers on...and they fit and look great. Got the Y pipe and O2 extensions for 405.00 shipped. Don't know about the fit on them yet, but the Clarence from the headers is pretty impressive. All I had to do to install was pull the steering shaft and they went right in. They claim 25 extra ponies as well...Hmmmmm?

How about a sound clip with these new headers on?

How are you guys missing these Speed Engineering headers?! They've only been posting about them since like... oh... July?!
They are the budget long tubes to go with. Period. True 1-3/4" primaries (eBay are 1-5/8" until proven otherwise -- see my thread).
The only reason I don't have them is because I did not want to wait until this past winter to get long tubes. I'll be helping a friend install them pretty soon, though.

Mine went on great, having trouble with my y pipe though. Seems to be 3-4 inches short on passenger side, got a big gap. Sent an email 3 days ago to them..NO REPLY! Gonna have to make a spacer. Or maybe i will send them back and go to a muffler shop and build from the header back. Tired of waiting to get this done!!!
