Default Motor mounts..Types and firmness???

I am going to make some custom motor mounts for the LS1 type engine install (it's a 5.3 L33).

This is my first experience with the LS type engines and therefore I am still learning things about them.

With regards to the motor mounts there seems to be a number of different styles.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of the following types?

Which of these type offers the most firmness (minimizes engine rock)?
I don't want to go solid mounts but I need to minimize engine movement on the mounts due to clearances around the engine.

Any advice greatfully received.

Poly mounts from pro thane will be firmer than stock rubber and less firm than solid..

Right in the middle!

The puck style corvette mount is oil filled and compact. Lots of conversions use them. The bushing style is a fabricators choice because its not specific to one engine or one mount type and can be applied to suspension parts as well

Since you're building your own, check out solid mounts. LSx engines are VERY smooth, even with lumpy cams. I was skeptical until I built a set of solids for a hot setup expecting it to be rough. I never noticed any unusual vibration. Now, all my swaps use solid mounts, mild to wild combos

Thanks guys.

I think I'll rule out solid mounts for now but thanks for the suggestion.

Same here. Last fbody was driven 110 miles daily on interstate to work with poly mm's for 3 years. No more harsh than stockers when used with a factory auto trans mount IMHO. The car had bilstein shocks and poly rear control arms with weld in subframe connectors. 99 z-28 non SS with factory sway bars and rubber replacement end links. Rode very well, firm but forgiving in corners and on bumps.
