Cut-out????
Ok i know that the cutout goes in the i-pipe but i was wondering if i should put it closer to the y-pipe or closer to the catback or just in the middle....Let me know which of these would be better, or if there is even a better place for it......Thanks

There's actually a little pocket right under the passenger side seats that's a bit further up the I-pipe (than shown above) that's a sweet niche for a cutout. Most people place it there.
It's a simple cut-in-two places (remove segment of I-pipe), replace segment with the cutout, weld.

The closer in you put it, the more 3" pipe you bypass.
Dunno how much it matters. You could also do a pair
of 2.5s before the merge and maybe pick up another
HP. But I did mine at the axle turn-up out back.

Where to put cutouts
