Default Oil Pressure Gauge - Sender Size?

Installing an LS2 into a BMW. I going to use an Aeroforce Interceptor to monitor most engine parameters (via OBD2) but I'd like to install a proper stand-alone aftermmarket electric oil pressure gauge.

Are all of the senders the same size? I plan to install the aftermarket sender in place of the stock LS2 sender, at the rear of the intake.

Looking at this Speedhut gauge. Others to consider?

TIA.

Usually 1/8" NPT is the norm for aftermarket gauges. I bought a replacement cooler block-off plate that has a 1/8" port already in it. $15 on eBay..search for "LS2 OIL BLOCK" or similar. Or if you want to adapt the factory end of things, look for something like this:

Good luck.

Thanks, I already have the threaded block-off plate. The sender for the stock dash oil pressure idiot light is mounted there. I also have the Autometer adapter you linked to above.

What I'm wondering is, are all electric oil pressure senders are created equal with regard to size? It's pretty tight behind the intake manifold. I like the Speedhut oil pressure gauge (it's full sweep) but I'd choose another if there are smaller senders available.

No idea. I have seen those plates with two holes, too, BTW. I bought old-school mechanical gauge this time. The mfg of the bigger brands probably list dimensions on their websites.

Mount the gauge sender to the firewall, away from heat and vibration. Connect it to the engine with -4 AN line.

That's a damn good idea! Can one ensure air in that line wouldn't give an incorrect reading?

Thanks. I'm aware the sender can be remote mounted. I'm wondering if all aftermarket electric senders are the same size.

Mount the sender lower than the port, and gravity will take care of the rest.
