Default Stock C/B vs True duals

I have a 1998 Z28 and I'm currently running stock catback with a Flow Master 80. I will be completing Full Bolt On's this spring (LT Headers, LS6 intake, EGR delete Etc.) I have the exhaust narrowed down to 2 options.
Headers will be Speed Engineering 1-7/8"

Option 1:
Ypipe (w hf cats),to 3-1/2" Electric Cut-Out to Factory C/B with Flow Master 80

Thoughts with this set up race ready. Quiet when needed

Option 2:
TSP true duals with Sweet thunders

Thoughts with this set up sounds great, but full race all the time.. Which doesn't bother me, but I read a lot of people say it gets old.

What would you do guys?

Where I live I still have to pass emissions. Currently my bro has a y pipe with cats sitting around so if I went TD I would have to swap out once a year...
This might be another expense though due to I can't count on his y pipe to just be sitting around...

Like others have already mentioned, since it isn't a DD, go with duals.

My car is a weekend warrior and I switched from a Y-pipe to duals, it's a big difference in quality of sound. It doesn't get annoying to me, I always turn down the radio to listen to my exhaust

And as far as the emissions thing, that is your call....

I recommend doing something like this.

True duals that go over the axle into a super quiet muffler so that its not on beast mode all the time.

Put 2 cutouts before the axle so that when the cutouts are open, its like have true duals dumped.

For visual Inspections you can get simulated cats, and you can get a good tune to take care of any check engine lights or codes that usually get tripped in absence of rear 02 sensors & cats.

If you can live with the ground clear lose then go true duals. Otherwise stick with "option 1" !

what about true duals with cats in the front pipes? It will quiet it down quite a bit and should still pass a sniffer test
